The POSB Everyday Card is one of the most basic cashback cards in the market. You can use it across 6 categories. But how do the rewards look like? Let’s read on.
StakRewards Verdict
Go get it! / It depends / Leave it
There are other better cards with more cashback. But if you are an SPC member, you can pair it with the Everyday Card to enjoy up to 21% off your petrol. That is a lot!
Card profile
- Rewards system: Cashback (Daily$)
- Rewards rate: Every $1 spent = 1 Daily$
- All other eligible spend = 0.3% Cash Rebates in Daily$
- No Minimum Spend Requirement (for most categories) and no monthly cap on spending
- Best for: Credit card newbies, general everyday use for these categories – Groceries, Utilities, Fuel and Car Maintenance, Shopping, Dining and Telecommunications
- Annual fee: $192.60 (principal card), $96.30 (each supplementary card)
- Cashback validity: No expiry on cashback earned
The general criteria to earn cashback is pretty straightforward.

Reward Mechanics
In order to extract as much cashback as possible from the card, I asked 4 questions that matter to me. These questions help me understand the rules of the “game”.
- Where can I spend (to earn cashback)?
- What is the required minimum spend amount?
- How much cashback can I earn and what is the cap?
- Are there any transactions that are excluded?
What is the points rate?
Cashback rate = Daily$1 : SG$1 (All other eligible spend: 0.3% Cash Rebates in Daily$ with no Minimum Spend Requirement and no monthly cap).

The Everyday Card earns the highest cashback when you refuel your car at SPC and pay with the card + SPC membership card. But if you refuel at Sinopec, you will earn a much lesser cashback amount.

If you have pets, most likely you’ll do your shopping at Pet Lovers Centre. This is another good place where you can earn cashback on your pet-related purchases with no cap.

Conclusion
The POSB Everyday Card is an all rounder beginner-friendly card that allows you to earn cashback on local spend. On the flip side, the cashback returns are not appealing except for refuelling at SPC (with the SPC member card) and purchases at Pet Lovers Centre.
